Job Description
Front of the house manager will oversee the interview and hiring processes for positions such as servers, hosts, bussers, and bartenders. They will oversee, direct, and actively participate in the training of personnel in these positions. The front of the house manager will also supervise the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas of the restaurant making sure to meet safety and sanitation guidelines. They are responsible for supervising individual shifts ensuring that all guests are taken care of in a manner that meets the standards set forth by the restaurant. In addition to the supervisory roles, the manager will actively participate in budget forecasting for labor and sales. They will be responsible for ordering supplies, taking inventory, and controlling costs in an effort to maximize sales and minimize waste.
Requirements
5 years previous full service restaurant experience required and 2 years prior managerial experience preferred. Candidate must be energetic and thrive in a fast paced atmosphere. They must also have the ability to create a positive work environment by motivating employees to act as a team.
